What happens if a parent cancels?Updated 3 months ago

We understand that unexpected situations arise, and sometimes a family may need to cancel a booking. If a sitter has already been confirmed and it's less than 12 hours to the booking start time, we suggest to parents that they consider making a goodwill payment to the sitter.

Goodwill payments are entirely at the parents' discretion and won't be suggested if the sitter has been confirmed into the booking for less than 2 hours or if it's the family's first booking with Sitters. 

If the parent cancels your booking directly with you (rather than via the app), please do let us know so that we can amend our records accordingly, and to avoid the parent being charged for the booking. 

While cancellations can be disappointing, we're here to support both parents and sitters through them.
