Why is my booking still in 'Pending'?Updated 6 months ago
When you apply for a booking, its status will initially show as 'Pending' while it's being processed. The processing time may vary depending on factors like the number of applicants for the booking, time until the booking, and the parent's decision-making speed.
When a parent places a booking, they have the option to select whether they want to choose their sitter, or let us choose for them. If they select 'Let me choose' they'll be notified when a sitter applies for their booking and will then have the flexibility to choose their sitter. We do encourage them to make a decision promptly to avoid missing out on their preferred sitter and they are aware that all sitters are free to accept other bookings in the meantime.
Please be assured that when you apply for a booking, you are still able to apply for other bookings at the same time.
If a parent selects you as their sitter after you have been confirmed into another booking, they will be made aware that they missed out and that you are no longer available.
