Why was my booking unsuccessful?Updated 5 months ago
If your booking is no longer showing as 'Pending' and has not been confirmed, unfortunately this means the booking is no longer available. There are a few reasons why your booking application may be unsuccessful:
- When we receive a booking from a family, we allow more than one sitter to apply for it, so it might be that the family chose another sitter who is one of their Top 3 favourites, or that they've met before.
- The family may have cancelled the booking.
- It may be that another sitter offered a lower hourly rate.
Each sitter chooses their own hourly rate and you have the ability to adjust your hourly rate (of course, it's entirely up to you to decide what you feel is fair compensation for your services). You can also adjust your usual hourly rate for just one specific booking if you choose to (you can do that at the point you respond to a booking offer).
N.B. If you have not received an email to let you know that your booking was unsuccessful, this means that the booking was cancelled by the parent. We are working on a fix for this to ensure that you're notified when a booking is unsuccessful, for whatever reason.
