Meeting a new family is a fantastic chance to showcase your skills and experience and build lasting connections. It will give you the chance to leave them in no doubt that they want you as one of their Favourites (and leave you a great review!).
We’ve put together these simple Golden Rules to ensure you make a stellar first impression:
1. Commitment matters
Please accept bookings only if you're certain you can attend. Cancelling a confirmed booking may disappoint the family, potentially leading them to reconsider choosing Sitters in the future.
2. Plan ahead
Preparation is key. Check your route in advance and allocate ample time to get to your booking. Arriving 10 minutes early not only exhibits professionalism but also helps put the family at ease.
3. Communication is key
Prior to the booking, get in touch with the parent by sending a message or making a brief call to them. We recommend doing this 60-90 minutes before the scheduled start time, reassuring them that you’re on your way.
4. First impressions count
Present your Sitters ID upon arrival. Greet the children by name, and don't forget to wear a welcoming smile – it goes a long way!
